A safe space to consider your pregnancy options. Haven is a space for women, men and families to find information and get support when facing an unintended pregnancy, baby loss or post termination. 


We offer a free, confidential, safe space to be heard without judgement and talk about what continuing a pregnancy would look like with the right kind of support. Our hope is to inform, empower and equip you in your journey. 


Our Haven Support Coordinators understand the stress of an unintended pregnancy and realise this can be very overwhelming. As we journey with you, you will have time, information and support to consider all of your options. You are not alone.

Are you a first time mum? We invite you to mainly babies. Along with other mums & their babies, you will gather for 20-25 minutes of music & rhyme focused on your connection with baby. mainly babies will run in 2024. To find out more contact us at info@havenpregnancysupport.org.nz.

  • Marina Young |  Service Manager

    Marina joined the WP LifeCare Trust staff team in June 2020 as Service Manager for Haven Pregnancy Support. Prior to joining our team, Marina has trained in mental health and worked for Equip Mental Health Services as their Family/Whānau Coordinator; Managed (with her husband, Peter) two Christian Youth Camps over a period of 10 years; volunteered with Christian organisations ministering to the homeless, youth at risk and pregnancy support for young mums; as well as founded the Buttons Project (with her husband Peter) that helps women and men towards healing from abortion.


    Marina's passion is to allow people's stories to be heard, and to bring hope to those struggling, especially those who are facing an unexpected pregnancy.


    Marina has been married to her husband Peter for more than 30 years. Together they have three adult children and are enjoying the role of grandparents. Marina loves spending time with her family and friends, as well as relishing some quiet times to enjoy nature, hear the birds sing and taking time to just relax.
