Christians Against Poverty

CAP (Christians Against Poverty) are passionate about releasing Kiwis from a life sentence of debt, poverty, and its causes. That’s because poverty causes isolation, shame and fear. And it robs people of their dreams and hopes for the future.

So by working with the church, they bring hope that today will get better and the future will be brighter; they offer freedom from the chains of debt, poverty and its causes; and they share the good news that there is a God who loves and values each individual, and that there is a community to walk alongside and advocate for people every step of the way.

  • Sarah Clark |  CAP Debt Centre Manager

Prior to coming on staff with the LifeCare Trust Sarah spent 15 years as an optimisation engineer and business analyst for software companies. She is passionate about seeing both systems and people become the best that they can be and is excited to see this happen as she journeys with people as they seek to improve how they manage their finances.

Sarah has been part of Windsor Park Baptist Church since 1999 during which time she has been involved in Youth and Young Adult group leadership, Kids Church, Mum’s groups and served as an Elder for eight years.

Sarah has been married to Cameron for over 10 years and their two primary school aged children keep them on their toes. Sarah loves spending time with her family, but also likes to balance that out with quiet walks along the beach when she can.
